How to Wear a Slip Dress in the Winter

Share

Slip dresses are often associated with warm, breezy summer days, but with the right layering techniques, they can seamlessly transition into winter. By pairing a slip dress with cozy, cold-weather essentials, you can create a chic and practical look that keeps you warm without compromising on style.

Layering for Warmth and Style

One of the easiest ways to winter-proof a slip dress is by layering it over a turtleneck or a chunky sweater. This styling trick has become a timeless go-to, allowing you to make the most out of your summer wardrobe all year round. For this look, I opted for a thick, cozy gray turtleneck that added a sense of ease and warmth to the outfit. While I usually prefer a fitted turtleneck for layering, the relaxed silhouette of this one gave the ensemble an effortlessly cool appeal, especially around the neckline.

Choosing the Right Accessories

To complete the outfit, I went with my ever-reliable Vetements mules, which brought a touch of modern edge to the overall aesthetic. I also carried a stunning bag from Paco Rabanne, adding a polished yet contemporary vibe. When styling a slip dress for winter, accessories play a crucial role in elevating the look—think structured handbags, knee-high boots, or even a statement coat for added drama.
